Description

• NAICS: 23 Construction. Order of Magnitude Threshold: (Estimated)$1.5 billion.

• Competition: Full and Open- Prime US only, subcontractors USAID Geographic Code 935.

• The United States Agency for International Development is seeking the services of qualified engineering, procurement and constructions firms to continue the United States Government efforts to restore critical infrastructure/basic services in Iraq.

• These services would include the:

Repair,

Rehabilitation,

Upgrading,

Reconstruction,

Construction of

1. Electric power

2. Potable water and

3. Sewage treatment systems,

4. Priority roads,

5. Bridges and

6. Railways, and

7. Public buildings including  schools   clinics   municipal facilities.

In addition, there is an institutional capacity building component for operation and maintenance for each of the aforementioned sectors.

Subcontracting with small, small disadvantaged, small women-owned small veteran-owned and small service disabled veteran owned business concerns of at a minimum of 10% is required.

It is anticipated that the Request for Proposals will be issued o/a September 30, 2003.
