Description

LSA Anaconda Power Plant (24 MW) DESCRIPTION OF WORK - GENERAL The Contractor shall supply all adequate and competent labor, supervision, tools, equipment, consumable materials, services, testing devices and every item of expense necessary for the supply, handling, hauling, unloading, receiving, construction, testing,   &nbspcommissioning, and startup for the construction of an electrical system for LSA Anaconda, Iraq. The Electrical System includes the following: Power Plant Medium-Voltage Switchgear High Voltage Distribution (as required to establish new switchgear and tie into existing lines) Low Voltage Distribution (as required for controls and utilities) Grounding (Earthing) Pre-Fabricated Control Building This work will be coordinated with any ongoing civil, mechanical and housing work being completed in the same location during the same time frame to minimize interferences. Power Plant: This shall include the procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and startup of the Power Plant in accordance with the contract documents. The Power Plant shall include a 7-day supply of fuel storage and necessary manifolds and piping   &nbspfrom the tanks to the generators. Fuel storage tank shall be steel construction. Seven-day fuel supply shall be calculated as fuel consumption of all generators running at 70 percent capacity 24 hours per day for 7 days. The Contractor shall provide concr ete pads for fuel tanks, generator, and switchgear. Medium-Voltage Switchgear:   &nbspThis shall include the procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and energizing of the Main Switchgear and Generator Panels, and as specified in the contract documents. Medium-Voltage Distribution:   &nbspThis shall include the procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and energizing the medium-voltage distribution system in accordance with the U.S. Government with the scope of work.   &nbspThe electrical distribution system   &nbspat LSAA Anaconda is existing.   &nbspThe work provided under this contract shall include furnishing and installing all cables from the Power Plant to primary side of the new main switchgear, and providing pole-mounted risers to existing poles, as indicated in t he contract drawings.     &nbspLow Voltage Distribution: This includes the procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and energizing the Low Voltage Distribution System in accordance with the Scope of Work. This includes control voltage for the generator panels, power distributio n centers for each generator with control voltage transformers, and secondary voltage for utility lighting, power, and controls in the control building.   &nbspExterior cabling shall be both below grade and above grade. The Contractor shall trench for below grad e cables. For above grade cables, the contactor shall install cables in conduits. Grounding System: This shall include the procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning the Grounding (Earthing) System as stated in these documents.   &nbspAs a minimum, the system shall include all ground, cables, and terminations for the Grounding Syst em.   &nbspA 21 mm X 3000 mm copper-clad ground rods shall be used.   &nbspEach fuel tank and generator set, and control building shall have a minimum of two ground rod points.     &nbspPre-Fabricated Control Building:   &nbspThis shall include the procurement and installation of a pre-fabricated power control building as further described in the specifications.     &nbspThe Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, and equipment necessary and testing required in accordance with the design drawings that includes technical and performance specification.
