NOTE: &nbspThis solicitation was originally posted under number W912ER-04-R-0018. &nbspIf you requested this solicitation under this number, you do not need to request again. This solicitation is being released on behalf of the Gulf Regional Division of the US Army Corps of Engineers, Iraq. This announcement is for the purpose of soliciitng names of U.S. and Foreign firms interested in submitting an offer on the below described project. &nbspThe magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. No construction surety is requi red. PROPOSAL BID PERIOD: &nbspThis solicitation is scheduled for release on or about 10 March 2004. &nbspThe proposal due date is 23 April 2004. Do not send a request or call if this solicitation is delayed for any reason. PROJECT SCOPE: &nbspThe construction of a 10 MW, 11kV power plant and associated distribution system at St. Mere. &nbspSite work includes clearing, leveling area for power plant and and an operator's building. The electrical distribution system will consist of trenching and installation of transmission l ines. &nbspThe electrical distribution system will also include the construction and installation of new switch gear, transformers and associated equipment. &nbspSOLICITATION REQUESTS: Requests for this solicitation shall be sent in writing only to Mrs. Robyn Ratc hford, US Army Corps of Engineers, Transatlantic Programs Center either by mail at PO Box 2250, Winchester, VA 22604, by fax on 540-665-4033 or by email to Robyn.Ratchford@usace.army.mil. Telephone requests will NOT be accepted. &nbspRequests shall state the c ompany name, type of company, mailing and shipping address of the firm, telephone and fax numbers, email address if available and a Point of Contact for the firm. Hard copies of both a technical and price proposal will be required. &nbspAt a minimum, offerors will be evaluated in the areas of price reasonableness, past performance and technical capabilities. &nbspThis solicitation will be released to construction firms only.
