Description

Identify sources servicing Iraq that possess the capabilities to manage and dispose of hazardous waste.

Forms of waste include:

- A variety of batteries
- Solvents
- Decontaminant agents and kits
- Solid waste containing heavy metals
- Mercury and mercury containing items
- Pesticides/herbicides/fungicides/insecticides
- Waste oil and fuel
- Grease
- POL contaminated solids and soil
- Filters
- Aerosol cans and other compressed gas cylinders
- Asbestos items
- Fire extinguishing residue
- Uncontrolled medicine
- Ethylene Glycol
- Spill residue
- Empty containers that previously held hazardous contents

Examples of the types of management services to be performed, including but not limited to:

- Identification of unknown liquids or solids for disposal classification
- Completion of waste profile sheets
- Labeling and packaging of hazardous waste (includes the purchase of labels and different size containers)
- Transportation of hazardous waste from Central Asia (i.e., Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan)
- Safe and compliant disposal

It is to be understood that this is not considered a new procurement at this time. This synopsis is strictly for sources sought. Firms with capability and interest should contact the individual listed above to be included on a potential source list.
