(Jan 1999) (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers:

THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE.     THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED.     OFFERORS MAY SUBMIT A PROPOSAL FOR ?ANY OR ALL? GROUPINGS OR INDIVIDUAL LINE ITEMS WITHIN A GROUPING. The associated NAICS code is 333923.         The Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA), Baghdad, Iraq has a requirement for the following:

0006       Complete Inventory of Spare Parts and Equipment to support two ZPMC Container Cranes, 1 LS MIN, 2 LS MAX           (SEE ATTACHMENT 6).
LINE ITEM PRICES SHALL INCLUDE COSTS FOR FOB DESTINATION (SHIPPING TO IRAQ) AND STANDARD COMMERCIAL WARRANTIES.         The items will be delivered to various locations within the country of Iraq.         The Contracting Officer will evaluate quotes on the basis of information furnished by the offer or offeror identified in the offer and reasonably available to the Contracting Officer.         In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.216-1 Type of Contract, the Government anticipates award of a Firm Fixed-Price, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) quantity contract, with delivery information and quantities to be stated on each delivery order.         Acceptance will be specified in each delivery order.
